Many fishing clubs utilize Internet Message Boards to share fishing information with each other on a real-time basis. Members can post fishing reports, current conditions, club alerts, etc. The information posted is immediately available to all other club members when they access the Forum (Message Board).
Skip Deckman, the owner of the Chum Bucket bait and tackle
shop in West Creek has graciously provided the VHFC with this Fishing Forum
functionality on his shop's web site at no cost to the club.
In order to utilize this functionality, Members must register with the Forum. This is a simple process in which the Member creates their own User ID and Password for access to the Forum. The Member can also provide other contact information, but this is optional. Simply click on the "Register" button at the top of the Forum page.
A handful of our members have been using this Forum since mid-2008, and we find it very useful and helpful. Not only do we have our own Village Harbour Fishing Club section on the site, but there are many other local fishermen who share some very helpful information throughout the season. This Forum is the perfect way to stay informed and help you prepare for your next successful fishing trip!
This forum is another example of this club's purpose. We exist to help our members learn more about fishing in this area. We urge you to join the Forum and get involved in the information exchange. This can be another tool to help you catch more fish, and possibly even become a better angler.
